Unifies store design:
The adjustable Pallet Guard™ system allows you to drop a full pallet of merchandise and immediately transform it into an attractive and highly visible display. Set up takes less than 60 seconds and restocking changes are a snap.
Saves time and restocking labor:
Instantly create a highly visible display eliminating the need for labor intensive and time-consuming shelf or floor stacking. Easily accommodates complex shippers and seasonal bulk bin displays!
Lowers Shrink:
Protects your merchandise from being damaged by shopping carts and cleaning equipment. For Pallet Guard™ heights 7″ and higher, the shopping cart chassis and cleaning equipment will hit the Pallet Guard™ first before hitting what is on the pallet. No more busted bags or damaged merchandise.
Increases safety:
Reduces the risk of injuries due to shopper trip and falls while hiding unsightly wooden pallets, protecting customers from pallet imperfection like splinters and nails.
Sustainable:
A sustainable alternative to cardboard base-wrap, Pallet Guard™ helps you meet your company’s sustainability goals, saving thousands of tons of cardboard from landfills.
Durable and customizable:
Pallet Guard™ is durable and can be used again and again on all of your pallet displays – inside and outside. Kits include telescoping sides that easily connect together and adjust to fit any sized pallet and any pallet drop configuration.
Highly versatile:
Depending on which series you choose, Pallet Guard™ can be used as a standalone, on single pallet drops, multi pallet displays, or even end cap and mid-aisle displays. Please see “The Adjustable Pallet Guard™ System Guide” to determine what is best for you.

$19 million verdict for trip and fall on grocery store pallet
On May 4, 2016, plaintiff Roel Canales (age 68), an oil field worker, stopped by a grocery store in Freer, Texas to buy a watermelon. The store, Pay and Save, is a family-owned grocery store chain. When Canales entered the Pay and Save store, the watermelons were displayed in three large cardboard bins. Each bin was sitting on top of a wooden pallet.
He says he shattered his hip buying a watermelon at Walmart. A jury awarded him $7.5 million.
Walker reached to pick a melon from a display, and his foot became lodged in the pallet under the watermelon container. He turned, unaware that the pallet was there, and fell and shattered his hip, court documents state.
Surprising number of injuries from used pallets, researchers note
Used shipping pallets – the raw material for a million home DIY projects, kindling for countless fires in home fireplaces, and the bases for in-store displays everywhere – sent more than 30,000 people to emergency rooms over a recent 5-year period.
About 400 million new wooden pallets are produced annually in the US with about 2 billion in use in the shipping chain at any given time.
Pallet-related injuries send thousands of people to ER’s each year, study finds
University Park, PA — planning a do-it-yourself project with shipping pallets, or headed to your local “big box” retailer? Be careful: non-work-related injuries involving pallets resulted in more than 30,000 emergency room visits over a recent five-year period, according to researchers from Penn State University and the University of Florida.
Study notes pallet-caused injuries in retail settings
Research indicates that pallets used in retail displays can pose injury risks. Retailers should take steps to ensure that pallets are used properly. The first-ever research into non-occupational injuries that occur due to unintentional contact with pallets yielded some startling statistics. An estimated 30,493 people were treated at hospital emergency rooms for these pallet-related injuries in 2014-2018.
